Land Connects Us

Our Land Connects Us celebrates the power of community through workshops, group exhibitions, and events, all part of Dr. Joshua Schwab-Cartas’ ongoing SSHRC-funded research project dedicated to the revitalization of Indigenous languages and the affirmation of food sovereignty.

Collaboration, research, creative expression, cultural exchange, and community engagement that center Indigenous voices, lived experiences, and ways of knowing
An interdisciplinary collective of Indigenous and allied artists, curators, educators, researchers, knowledge holders, activists, and community members
Community-based, participatory work that uplifts Indigenous knowledge systems and the interconnected relationships between Land, Language, Arts, Culture, and community
Rooted in Indigenous values of reciprocity, relationality, and self-determination
Our Projects >>>

“When we reconnect with the land, we honor the past, nourish the present, and cultivate a future where culture, language, and food sovereignty thrive together..”
